IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1. Read all instructions before using this appliance.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock and / or injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs, or the pressure cooker body in water or any other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by or near children. This appliance is not intended for use by young children without supervision.
5. Unplug cord from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow appliance to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. Using accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
8. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or your service agent.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
11. Do not place on or near a hot gas, electric burner, or in a heated oven.
12. Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then plug the cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, or set all control to "off", then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
13. Do not use this appliance for other than its intended use.
14. Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or any hot liquids.
15. Oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted into the appliance as they are a risk of fire or electric shock.
16. Fire may occur if the appliance is covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, etc while in operation.
17. To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in the provided removable container.
18. Preheating of the appliance is not necessary.

1. Take extreme caution when opening the lid after cooking. Severe burns can result from steam inside.
2. Never open the lid while the unit is in operation.
3. Do not use without the inner pot in place.
4. Do not touch the inner pot nor any heating parts, immediately after use. Allow the unit to cool down completely first.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as :

• farm houses
• by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
• bed and breakfast type environments.

HOW TO USE EXTENSION CORD

Note:

• a) A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• b) Extension cords may be used, but caution is required to ensure safe use.
• c) The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance
• d) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally
• e) This appliance is a grounded type; any cord set or extension cord used should be a 3-wire grounding-type cord.

HOW TO USE

Before First Use

1. Read all instructions and safeguards.
2. Remove all packaging and check that all parts and accessories are in good condition.
3. Properly dispose plastic bags as they can pose a risk to children.
4. Remove the inner pot from the cooker and clean with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly before inserting back into the cooker.
5. Wash all accessories in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
6. Wipe the cooker's body clean with a damp cloth.

Rice & Grain

1. Using the provided rice measuring cup, add rice to the inner pot.
2. For white rice, rinse with water for 10 seconds and drain. Repeat this process at least 2 times, or until the water runs clear.
3. For white rice, fill the inner pot with water to the line that matches the number of cups.
4. Place the inner pot into the rice cooker then place the lid on securely.
5. Plug the power cord into an available 120V AC wall outlet.
6. Press the COOK button down. The COOK indicator light will illuminate as the cooker begins heating.
7. Once rice is ready, the COOK button will automatically flip up and the cooker will switch to WARM.
8. When finished serving, turn the cooker off by unplugging the power cord.

Steam

1. Fill the inner pot with water until it is half full.
2. Place the inner pot into the rice cooker.
3. Place food in the provided steam tray, then place the tray on the inner pot. Securely set the lid on top of the steam tray.
4. Plug the power cord into an available 120V AC outlet.
5. Press the COOK button down.

   • The COOK indicator light will illuminate as the cooker begins heating.
6. Steam until the food is cooked to your liking.

   • Unit automatically switches to WARM when all water is evaporated.
   • ※ NOTE : If unit switches to WARM and food needs more steaming, add water to Cooking Pot and press COOK button down to cook.
7. Remove steamed food once it is done cooking. Wear protective heat-resistant gloves to prevent injury as the steam tray will be hot.
8. When finished steaming, turn the rice cooker cooker off by unplugging the power cord.

How to Clean

1. Unplug the unit to power off.
2. Use a neutral detergent and a soft sponge to clean the inner pot, glass cover and steam tray.
3. Both the inside and the outside of the inner pot must be clean.

   • Residue on the inner pot may negatively affect the performance of the rice cooker.
4. Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft rag or sponge.
5. Wash all accessories. Dry thoroughly before storing.

※ Notes

• Do not scrape the inner pot with sharp objects when cleaning. Doing so may damage the coating of the inner pot.
• Wipe off any residual moisture on the unit with a soft, dry cloth after each use.

CHECK BEFORE ASKING FOR SERVICE

If the cooker is not used according to the specified procedure, it may not function properly even if it's not a malfunction. If the rice doesn't cook properly or the warming function seems abnormal, please refer to the checklist below. If the issue persists after checking, contact our Customer Care Center.
