CUCKOO Partners with School on Wheels to Provide Air Purifiers in Response to LA Wildfires

The recent wildfires in Los Angeles severely impacted air quality in Southern California, making it even more difficult for those already facing hardships. School on Wheels, a non-profit dedicated to providing free tutoring for children experiencing homelessness, contacted CUCKOO about an urgent need for air purifiers in local shelters. In response, CUCKOO donated several H13 HEPA True Air Purifiers to help improve air quality for children and families.

What is School on Wheels?

School on Wheels works closely with homeless shelters in Los Angeles, providing support to children facing significant challenges. They identified the shelters with the highest needs, some which were located near the Palisades Fire. After receiving the air purifiers, School on Wheels distributed them to these shelters as needed, helping to provide much-needed relief and cleaner air for the children and families staying there.

How It Came Together

School on Wheels reached out to CUCKOO, asking if we could provide air purifiers to support the children and families in local shelters. Seeing the devastation caused by the wildfires, CUCKOO’s team in Cerritos, located outside the impacted areas but with employees personally affected in Los Angeles, was quick to step up. We were able to provide the resources needed and swiftly shipped the air purifiers directly to School on Wheels. Their team then distributed the units to the shelters most in need, ensuring that those affected by the fires had access to cleaner, safer air.
