Rice Cooker Sous Vide Roast Beef with CRP-OHTR0609FW – CUCKOO America

The Prestige Silence Lumin (CRP-OHTR0609FW) comes with a special feature: Sous Vide mode. Sous vide is a cooking technique where food is sealed and cooked slowly in a precisely temperature-controlled water bath resulting in incredibly tender, evenly cooked results every time. Designed for those who love restaurant-quality cooking at home, this mode opens the door to a whole new world of low-and-slow recipes that are as impressive as they are delicious.

With a feature like that, it's the perfect opportunity to create something hearty, satisfying, and full of rich flavor.

And what better way to put it to the test than with a classic Sous Vide Roast Beef? With a perfectly pink center, a deeply savory crust, and juicy texture throughout, this recipe delivers all the precision of traditional sous vide cooking without any of the complicated equipment.

🥩 Ingredients:

  • 2 lb beef top sirloin roast (or top round)
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp flour

🍽️ Instructions:

  1. Season the beef roast evenly with salt and black pepper. Place in a vacuum-sealed bag (or zip-top using water displacement) with oil, butter, garlic, and thyme. Seal tightly.

    3. Submerge the sealed beef in the water bath, ensuring it is fully covered. Cook for 2 hours 30 minutes.

    4. Remove the beef from the bag and pat completely dry. Sear in a very hot skillet for 1–2 minutes per side until a deep crust forms. Rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice.

    5. In the same skillet, add the bag juices and beef broth. Bring to a simmer, whisk in flour, and cook until thickened into a glossy gravy. Spoon over sliced roast beef and serve.
